Pocketweb releases Android version of Consumer Goods App

Interactive CO2 solution suite "Get-neutral" utilizing Pocketweb’s award-winning Pocket Life® Platform has launched an Android version

Berlin, Germany (April 15, 2012) - Pocketweb GmbH, the global award-winning innovator that integrates secure location-based and social media services across web and mobile platforms, has announced the launch of an Android version of independent CO2 solution suite "Get-neutral". "Get-neutral" is a platform for individuals to better understand their CO2 emissions while providing tools to assist them in neutralizing their CO2 consumption.

Private consumption is the cause of almost half of the world's CO2 emissions. "Get-neutral" is the world's first online platform for climate-neutral consumption, allowing users to compensate their CO2 consumption by understanding the impact of products they have purchased and supporting climate projects. "Get-neutral's" personal carbon footprint (PCF) database is continuously being extended and already contains several tens of thousands of products of daily use.

How it works for the end-user:

1. Sign up for the "Get-neutral" online platform at no cost.
2. Users scan or enter the barcode of their product with the "Get-neutral" app for iPhone, or on the web.
3. By scanning the product's GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) the user can identify the item's Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and neutralize it.
4. Regular campaigns allow sponsors and partners to highlight brands and products and promote climate friendly consumption behaviour.
5. Users receive points and badges and share their experience within the "Get-neutral" community.

"Get-neutral" is currently available as web application, on the iPhone and on Android phones. "Get-neutral" offers the service at no cost to consumers and is available in all German-speaking markets. In the second phase of development, the offering will be opened to users in multiple international markets. A recent collaboration with leading advertizing agency "Grey G2 Group", "Get-neutral" aims to become the market leader for CO2 neutralizing.
